Xu Shiliang, male, Han nationality, born in 1979 in Ledu County, Qinghai Province. He graduated from the Chinese Language and Literature Department of Peking University in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in Chinese linguistics, and obtained a master’s degree in Chinese language and writing from the Department of Chinese Language and Literature of Nanjing University in 2004. In 2007, he received his Ph.D. from the School of Literature at Nankai University in Chinese minority languages and literature. He is currently an associate professor in the Department of Chinese Language and Writing at Nanjing University. His main research interests include Chinese language, Tibetan language, Chinese-Tibetan comparison, language typology, and historical linguistics.
